Where you meet your driver

Most visitors clear passport control and baggage reclaim in the international terminal and come out into its arrivals hall. Your driver is waiting with a board showing your name, and you have his phone number before you land. The two terminals are linked on foot — if you are arriving on a domestic flight, just say so when you book.

Terminals

İzmir has two passenger terminals on the same site. The international terminal handles all flights to and from outside Turkey; the domestic one serves the well-connected Istanbul and Ankara routes. The two are linked on foot.

Where it is

The airport sits south of the city at Gaziemir — around 20 minutes to central İzmir, but well over an hour to Çeşme or Kuşadası.
