When plans change

Your Flight Changed After Booking: What to Send Us, and When

You do not need to report a delay — we see it through the flight number. What you do need to report is anything affecting the flight number itself: a new number, a different arrival day, a different airport. That is the whole dividing line.

What we pick up ourselves

Anything affecting the same flight: a delay, an early landing, a shift of several hours. As long as the flight number is right we track the flight and move the pickup to the actual landing time. Waiting caused by that is not charged. You need do nothing in these cases — not even call to make sure.

What needs a message

  • A new flight number. A rebooking, a different flight, a missed connection — the old number then leads us to the wrong flight or to nothing at all.
  • A different arrival day. More common with night flights than people expect, and the change with the largest consequences.
  • A different airport. Diversions and rebookings through another city change the route and therefore the price.
  • A different passenger count. It becomes a flight matter when somebody is not travelling or is following later.
  • Any change to the return leg. There is no flight tracking here to absorb it — see below.

What to put in the message

Four details, and it is settled in one reply instead of three:

  1. Your name, as it appears on the booking.
  2. The original travel date — so we can find the right booking.
  3. The new flight number and the new arrival or departure time.
  4. Whether anything else has changed: passenger count, hotel, luggage.

You get a confirmation back with the amended details. That is what counts — not the message you sent. The channels are on the contact page; we are on WhatsApp around the clock, which on the day of travel is the fastest of them.

The return leg is the special case

There is no flight tracking for the journey to the airport — there is no flight in the air yet to track. So if the airline moves your departure, the pickup time only moves if you tell us. This is the one case where a message has no alternative. How the new pickup time is then worked out is in when should you leave your hotel for the airport.

And if the flight is cancelled outright

Then it stops being a change and becomes its own case — with the cancellation window and the question of whether and when you are rebooked. That is all covered in if your flight is cancelled or you arrive on a different one.

Common questions

My flight is delayed. Do I need to tell you?

No. As long as the flight number is right we see the delay and move the pickup ourselves. Waiting caused by a flight delay is not charged.

I have been rebooked onto a different flight.

That we need. Send your name, the original travel date, the new flight number and the new arrival time — you will get a confirmation back with the amended details.

Does a change cost anything?

A changed flight number or time, no. If the route changes — different airport, different destination area — the fixed price for the new route applies, and we tell you before it does.

How late can I send a change?

As early as possible, but on the day of travel is still fine. The later it arrives the less room there is in the vehicle planning — telling us is always better than not telling us.
